Trévoux, February 3, 2026 – On Tuesday, Cofiem was honored to welcome Pierre Larrieu, Regional Councilor of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, alongside local journalists and representatives from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises Agency and Dombes Saône Vallée Community of Communes. This visit, rich in exchanges, was organized to showcase our new building extension—a symbol of our growth and commitment to the local community.

A Supported Project, A Shared Vision

This expansion, made possible through financial support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region as part of the Relocalization Package, marks a pivotal milestone for Cofiem. It enables us to not only accelerate our industrial development but also to strengthen our local impact:

  • Local Job Creation: Around twenty technicians will be recruited, with a focus on apprentices, recent graduates, and career changers. Between 2020 and 2026, our team has already grown from 45 to 78 employees.
  • In-House Training: An opportunity to pass on our expertise and support new talent in the field of industrial electronic refurbishment.

Ambitious Goals for the Region

The visit provided an opportunity to share our roadmap, aligned with industrial and ecological challenges:

  • Innovate Without Penalizing: Develop a realistic ecological strategy for industries, combining performance and sustainability.
  • Secure Operations: Be a reliable partner during crises, ensuring the availability of industrial equipment at market prices.
  • Double Our Capacity: Meet the growing demand for refurbishment while strengthening our local presence.
  • Train Tomorrow’s Talent: Collaborate with schools to raise awareness among students about careers in the circular economy.

An Extension for Sustainable Growth

With this new facility, Cofiem reaffirms its role as a key player in responsible industry:

  • Job Creation: Numerous positions created to invigorate the region, including both technical and support roles.
  • Doubled Refurbishment Capacity: To support the ecological transition of industries and meet surging demand in a context of increasing financial challenges.
  • Sustainable Solutions: Extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce carbon footprints.

«A responsible industry, deeply human, and resolutely ambitious: this is the vision Cofiem embodies daily, to collectively build the future of industrial electronics.»
